OUR MERINO WOOL

Our Merino Wool yarn comes from Shepley Yarns, a family-owned business based in Diggle, Saddleworth in the heart of the Pennine mountain range.

Over the past 300 years the area has been renowned for it's manufacturing of quality woollen and worsted products.

The fine Merino fibre is sourced from Spain’s Sierra Mariola region and then spun into a soft, lightweight yarn. Naturally warm, breathable and antibacterial, Merino Wool is also durable and easy to care for.

HANDWASH GUIDANCE

Turn the garment inside out, then wash in clean, lukewarm water, using a mild detergent. Allow to soak for around 10 minutes then rinse thoroughly in lukewarm water, followed by cold water and then dry flat.

Wool doesn’t need as much washing as other materials because it’s naturally stain and odour resistant, so wool products can often be refreshed simply by hanging outside on a breezy day.

By absorbing moisture, wool reduces the amount of sweat on the body, helping to keep the skin drier and preventing the build-up of sweat and bacteria.
Wool is naturally stain and water repellent, but after a few minutes, liquid will begin to soak into the fabric.

To spot clean stains, use warm water and mild detergent to soak the stained area and blot with a soft cloth.
